Experience of Introduction of Ecopolymer Equipment in Countries of the Eastern-Asian Region
Summary
The experience of introduction of the EcopolymerGroup’s equipment in the countries of the Eastern Asian Region on the example of China and South Korea is described. In China aerators are used for treatment of municipal (communal) and industrial-municipal discharges (in industrial parks) and for treatment of industrial enterprises wastewater as well. The equipment introduction is made mainly at large treatment facilities of over 150 thousand m³/day capacity. In South Korea the Ecopolymer aerators are used at treatment facilities of concentrated flows with high concentration of activated sludge from unloading plants, pig farms, poultry factories, in systems with membrane technologies of wastewater treatment.

The past and future of the domestic aerator engineering (on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the first RF Patent «Tube aerator»)
Summary
The stages of development of the domestic production and use of aeration systems in wastewater treatment – from traditional perforated pipes to high efficient aeration systems are described. The drawbacks and advantages of aerators, their applicability under certain conditions are designated. In the years ahead the development of not just aerators is planned but of aeration systems that include the entire equipment set for saturating water with oxygen: regulated air blowers, delivering and distributing pipelines with shutoff and control valves, comprehensive automated air supply control systems, aerators, systems of quick-detachable fittings and other elements that provide for optimal supplying air to the aeration tanks and if necessary for easily changing the system configuration in the process of retechnologisation of the treatment facilities.

Aeration Systems of High Capacity
Summary
Design characteristics of aerators of high capacity produced by the Ecopolymer Group are presented. Comparing with other apparatus Ecopolymeraerators have the highest air flow capacity, in the process their mass-transfer characteristics remain at high level. An unique innovative toroidal AQUA-TOR aerator, which can easily substitute three standard 12-inch membrane aerators is described. An AQUA-TOR aerator membrane modification has been developed by the Ecopolymer Group in cooperation with SIF Patfil. The Ecopolymeraerators of various modifications – high efficient, reliable, having a long time of operation – operate in aeration tanks of any design and in wastewater of any composition.

Syktyvkar Timber Processing Complex: Solving of Wastewater Treatment Problems
Summary
Peculiarities of the wastewater treatment process of the Syktyvkar timber processing complex typical for pulp and paper industry are described. Data on studies of the problem of activated sludge swelling are presented. It is proposed to solve this problem using the aerobic selector. On the basis of simulation results the scheme of reconstruction of preaerators of inlet flows into an aeration tank is proposed; according to this scheme the wastewater mix and return activated sludge are supplied to the first tunnels of preaerators operating as a selector of bacteria. The article presents a flow chart of wastewater and sludge treatment for retechnologization of existing facilities consisting of the following stages: treatment of wastewater at fine treatment mechanical grates and aerated sand catchers; degassing of wastewater before primary sedimentation tanks; installation of belt filter presses for treatment of excess activated sludge; installation of equipment for additional dewatering of primary sludge and excess activated sludge up to 50% of moisture content; disinfection of wastewater.
