Innovation Technologies of Trenchless Replacement of Dangerous Pipelines
Summary
Innovation technologies and complete sets of equipment used at municipal water supply and sewerage networks for the trenchless replacement of emergency state pipelines of up to 600 mm diameter are presented. The technologies offered are notable for their principle novelty, high economic efficiency, do not demand earth works, the equipment and mechanisms are easy-to-manufacture. The use of up-to-date technologies makes it possible to abandon the construction of new communication means and service pipelines, to rehabilitate and improve completely the technical characteristics of operating networks after their reconstruction. Domestic developments possess higher technical and economic indices than their foreign analogous (output by 1,3 times, durability by 2–2,5 times). Technologies and mechanisms took out 57 patents including 7 foreign and 24 licenses were sold.

On designing water supply schemes of the Russian cities
Summary
The summary on the water supply conditions in the country is presented. Supplying the population with sufficient amount of drinking water of the required quality and environmental safety of water use have been very important issues in Russia that differ for different regions and population groups. In general it is related not only to the replacement of the outdated equipment and elimination of the general technical backwardness, but in the first place to the need to solve legal, organizational and economic problems. To provide for the stepwise implementation of the set tasks of upgrading and reconstructing municipal water supply and wastewater disposal systems in Russia as well as for the economic encouragement of their development the RF Government approved and put into effect the new regulatory documents – Federal Law of December 7, 2011 No. 416-FZ «On water supply and wastewater management» and «Regulations for development and approval of water and wastewater management schemes and requirements to their maintenance». The guidance issues of designing municipal and communal water supply schemes by the example of Ufa and Irkutsk are considered. The sections to be included into the municipal water supply schemes alongside with the principles of supplying drinking water to the population of certain municipal entities are presented. Successful designing regional water supply schemes is ensured by the availability of the background information on the technical condition of the system; water intake conformance to the project water demand; hydrogeolical survey and confirmed operating inventory of the potential reserve water sources; availability of the master plans of territorial development.

Estimation of the correlation between oxidizability and water flow rate while passing through the water storage reservoir dam
Summary
The results of studying temporal variability of water oxidizability in the Ufa River are presented. The work was in determining the frequency distribution of the studied values, probability of unfavorable conditions related to the deterioration of the water quality in relation to the studied parameters, and searching for the correlation between the indicators and water flow rate. The oxidizability in the Ufa River during flood periods is formed to a lesser degree by organic substances washout from the catchment basin and to a greater extent is determined by the water quality in the water storage reservoir and organic substances in the bottom deposits. The frequency distribution of this indicator has been determined; the probability of unfavorable conditions occurrence (floods and high water) accompanied by the deterioration of the water quality in relation to the oxidizability has been estimated. It was determined that the oxidizability probability distributions had a tail part shifted in the direction of larger values of the indicator and showed that during unfavorable periods the oxidizability exceeded 5 mg/dm3. The frequency distribution of the tail part of the indicator approximated by power law P1(О) = = 337681·О–6,96 (R2 = 0,92). It was stated that upon the occurrence of unfavorable conditions (floods and high water) the oxidizability of water in the river would not exceed the preset value (11 mg/l) with probability 97%. It was shown that during flood periods the water flow in the river higher than 450 m3/s enhanced the increase of the oxidizability values. The correlation between oxidizability increase and water flow passing through the dam was determined and expressed in the form of equation. The average prediction error was 16%.

Targeted energy audit of the industrial water mains and distribution networks
Summary
In 2016 «Ostec-SMT» Company carried out a targeted energy audit of the drinking water supply networks at a wood processing plant in Siberia. The audit covered the water mains and distribution pipelines supplying water to the plant. The heart of the problem is the excess water losses (35% of the total water amount supplied by the public water supply system). The annual difference between the water amount purchased from the water services company and that supplied to the customers is 400 thousand m3. In order to locate the leaks it was decided to carry out consecutive measurements of drinking water flow from the interface of inventory responsibility, at the nodal points and at the service connections. The discovered water imbalance between the adjacent points, and leaks were determined with the use of a correlation leak detector. After the work completion the balance of the drinking water supply of the plant was compiled, the sections with losses were pointed out, and their quantitative estimate was given. The integrated study carried out by the experts of «Ostec-SMT» LLC provided for the exhaustive information on the state of the entire water supply system of the plant. The plant where the targeted energy audit of the water mains and distribution networks was carried out had implemented over the last years a number of large-scale investment projects, commissioned new and upgraded operating capacities.
