Innovation Technologies of Trenchless Replacement of Dangerous Pipelines

Summary

Innovation technologies and complete sets of equipment used at municipal water supply and sewerage networks for the trenchless replacement of emergency state pipelines of up to 600 mm diameter are presented. The technologies offered are notable for their principle novelty, high economic efficiency, do not demand earth works, the equipment and mechanisms are easy-to-manufacture. The use of up-to-date technologies makes it possible to abandon the construction of new communication means and service pipelines, to rehabilitate and improve completely the technical characteristics of operating networks after their reconstruction. Domestic developments possess higher technical and economic indices than their foreign analogous (output by 1,3 times, durability by 2–2,5 times). Technologies and mechanisms took out 57 patents including 7 foreign and 24 licenses were sold.

Improving the design of operating tools of the machines for trenchless pipeline rehabilitation

Summary

The designs of the operating tools of the machines for trenchless drinking water and wastewater pipeline rehabilitation are considered. An operating tool model ensuring the cutting tool life gain was developed. The technologies of old steel pipe destruction by incision followed by pipe bursting were investigated.

Enhancement of Technologies of Trenchless Laying of Underground Communication Means and Service Pipelines

Summary

An analysis of trenchless methods of building of horizontal wells for the laying of underground services is presented. A method of horizontal drilling involving the processes of destruction of rock mass and its removal from the well built possesses the biggest reserves of technical potential. Ways of improvement of the efficiency of a drilling process are considered. A new technique of drilling in the course of which a major part of rock destructed is removed and the lesser part remained is pressed into the well walls with the purpose of increasing their strength and solidity is offered. Transportation of rock mass is carried out by air flow in a special revolving pipeline. The results of laboratory and production tests of a mockup sample of a drilling device using the developed technique of drilling for building of horizontal wells are presented.
