On ventilation and hydraulic locks in plumbing systems

Summary

The results of analytical studies of the flow in a wastewater leader are presented. Basing on the laws of hydraulics, thermodynamics and aerodynamics a mathematical model of the hydraulic lock failure in the sanitary ware siphon is drawn up. The causes of the failure are substantiated together with the need of the analytical conclusions verification by experimental methods.
