Designing process solutions for the upgrade of the water treatment facilities of Anapa town resort
Summary
Project process solutions for the upgrade of the water treatment facilities supplying water to Anapa town resort including the methods of water treatment with activated carbon, preammoniation, and stabilization are presented. The proposed new process flow scheme takes into account the current requirements to reducing the anthropogenic impact on the environment and provides for a number of methods of wash water treatment and reuse, water sludge thickening and dewatering. The process flow scheme provides for the possibility of decommissioning part of the process units and auxiliary equipment during periods of seasonal reduction in water consumption, without any violation of the process parameters of the treatment facilities. The results obtained can be used to select and justify the technology for drinking water purification with the lower reaches of the Kuban River being the water source.

Engineering solutions for the upgrade of standard filtration plants of the domestic water supply systems
Summary
The main reason why the quality of treated water fails to meet the sanitary and hygienic requirements in many domestic and drinking water supply systems is the obsolete water treatment technology used at filtration plans built as per standard design last century. Based on the experience of research, design and construction of water treatment facilities, the experts of ECO-PROJECT R & D Company, LLC, have performed a technological analysis of the design and parameters of the water treatment equipment at these facilities, identified factors that negatively affect the results of water treatment, provided technical solutions for the upgrade of water mixers with chemicals, flocculation chambers and sedimentation tanks.

Standard design solutions: schedule reduction and ease of implementation
Summary
The possibility and feasibility of using standard design solutions in the reconstruction of wastewater treatment facilities are considered. The conditions of the present day designing and requirements that projects should mandatorily meet are presented. The aspects that demand changes in the approach itself both to the initial stage of designing and to the technology of design engineering as a whole are considered. The adaptation of the ready-made standard solutions to the climate conditions, the layout of the treatment facilities, the applied equipment range is evaluated. The options of the layout of the treatment facilities are presented including the availability of several parallel process lines; the possibility of stage-by-stage commissioning is described. The broad range of edit decisions when executing big amounts of construction works is included. Ensuring the operational integrity, rigidity and long-term safety of constructions is emphasized. The attention is paid to the architectural appearance of the modern industrial buildings. A brief description of the wastewater sludge dewatering technology is presented. The relationship between the building footprint, amount of construction work and equipment of a big unit capacity is given. By the example of the building of mechanical sludge dewatering shop the technical and economic efficiency of using standard design solutions is calculated.
