Ensuring reliable measurements of the water flow rate in large diameter pipes and gravity-flow conduits
Summary
The design of a large-scale low pressure (less than 10 meters) meter installation with a capacity of about 3000 m3/h and 0.11% error (at the maximum flow rate) for calibration of flow meters for pressure and gravity liquid flows in pipelines and rectangular conduits is suggested. Such installation can be manufactured in a relatively short time at favorable price. The availability of the installation provides for solving many tasks of measuring large water flows.
