Hydraulic Properties of Metal Pipes with Internal Cement-Sand Coating
Results of the hydraulic tests of pipes made of high-duty cast iron with spherical graphite produced by centrifugal casting with internal cement-sand coating at the Lipetsk Metallurgic Plant Svobodny Sokol and used in the city systems of external water supply are presented. Such a research is carried out in Russia for the first time. More precise definitions making it possible to carry out substantiated hydraulic calculations are applied into the hydraulic formulae of F. A. Shevelev. Recommendations on the selection of a method of internal coatings putting are given.
